Ever since the beginning, 35 Pokes matches have always been played by pinging people on Discord and then private challenging them. However, a showdown server called Dawn, which is host to a lot of other interesting metagames, has added an official 35 Pokes ladder, which can be used without having to private challenge. While it is worth noting that the ELO system hasn’t been implemented and even once it is it won’t carry over the ELO people have on Discord, it is still a very useful tool, and makes finding unrated and tournament battles more convenient. All people have to do now is start using it!

Spotlight of the week
Pokemon: Hatterene
Hatterene is the only Pokemon of September to have Magic Bounce, giving it a niche as a tanky Pokemon that can deny hazards on rain teams, as well as give any Pokemon a free opportunity to switch in safely by taking a hit and then using its Eject Button to switch out. Hatterene is also the only Pokemon that can use Healing Wish, a move that KO’s the user and restores the health of any Pokemon that switches in, to potentially give offensive Pokemon like Beartic, Basculin or Armaldo another chance at cleaning up the opponent’s team. Hatterene can also be used as a lead on Trick Room teams to set Trick Room and die with Misty Explosion, bringing in threats like Choice Band Komala and friends.

Pyroar is know to be a very underrated mon, even being featured on the last edition of this. However, in this game, it puts on an unbelievable performance, singlehandedly stopping the team from losing to snow and eventually even wearing down the seemingly hard wall Glowking.

So Wyrdeer is shit. Not even underrated, just shit. But here it got a ko on Mudsdale, which is cool. Didn’t end up mattering too much overall, and the Wyrdeer player lost to Krook anyway, but this is probably the best anyone’s gonna get out of the deer this meta.
